Our story

Shaban Emes opened Vila Emes in 1998. Two generations of the family run the house now — his daughter and son welcome guests alongside him most days, and the same hands that lay out fresh towels know which room catches the morning light first.
We sit on Rruga Pavarësia in Plazh, the long avenue that runs above the beach in Durrës. The pastry shop on our ground floor opens early — cappuccino, espresso, fresh croissants — five steps from the lobby. Restaurants, supermarkets, and the bus stop are all within a short stroll.
What to expect: a hundred metres to the water, a 24-hour front desk, simple rooms cared for daily, and Shaban himself reserving you a parking space out front (sometimes with a chair on it). It is not a luxury hotel. It is a small house with a real heart.

The location of the hotel was perfect, very close to the beach and lots of lovely restaurants and cafes. The room was everything you would want. The best part about the hotel is Shaban, the owner. He was beyond welcoming and friendly to us throughout our whole stay. We will definitely stay in Hotel Vila Emes again!
